Presentation of Straumur's second quarter 2008 results

Straumur-Burdaras Investment Bank hf. ("Straumur") will publish its
results for the second quarter of 2008 on Wednesday July 30. Note
that this date represents a change from the previously announced date
of July 31.

A presentation of the results will be held on the same day at Hilton
Reykjavík Nordica, Sudurlandsbraut 2, Reykjavík, conference room H&I.
Straumur's CEO, William Fall, and Stephen Jack, Straumur's CFO, will
present the results and respond to questions. The meeting will be
held in English.

The presentation begins at 9:30. Refreshments will be served from
9:00.
