Sale of shares in Storebrand

Exista has today 9 October, 2008 sold its 39,097,164 shares in Storebrand,
representing 8.69% of the total share capital in Storebrand, to Gjensidige
Forsikring BA. The shares were sold at NOK 20.0 per share. Part of the
transaction, or 18,209,877 shares in Storebrand corresponding to 4.05% of share
capital, is subject to regulatory approval in Norway. 
Following the transaction, Exista and its affiliates do not own any further
shares in Storebrand.
