Cargotec Shares Subscribed with Option Rights

Cargotec Corporation, Stock Exchange Announcement, March 14, 2008 at
10:45 a.m. Finnish time

A total number of 14,910 new class B shares have been subscribed with
Cargotec option rights that were granted as part of the demerged Kone
Corporation's year 2004 option program. The amount of 2005A and 2005B
option rights used for share subscription was 2,230 and 2,740
respectively. The subscriptions increase Cargotec's share capital by
EUR 14,910. The share capital increase has been entered in the trade
register on March 14, 2008 and trading in the shares together with
the old shares will begin on March 17, 2008.

Cargotec's share capital after the increase totals EUR 64,235,283.
The amount of class B shares after the subscription is 54,709,194
shares. The number of class A shares remains unchanged at 9,526,089
shares. The new shares will entitle to all shareholder rights from
the registration date March 14, 2008.

Each Cargotec option right entitles the holder to subscribe for three
Cargotec class B shares. The share subscription price according to
the terms of the option program is EUR 8.59 per share. After this
share capital increase, a total of 173,727 class B shares remain to
be subscribed for with 2005A and 2005B option rights, which
corresponds to a share capital increase of EUR 173,727. Share
subscription period with 2005A option rights ends on March 31, 2008
and with 2005B option rights on March 31, 2009.
