In January-February, the sales from continuing operations were €1,509.6 million (excluding VAT), up 12.0%. The sales from foreign operations in February were €142.3 million, an increase of 16.2%. Foreign operations accounted for 19.6% of the Group's sales. Kesko Food's sales increase in February was 14.5%. The sales of all K-food store chains developed well. Rautakesko's sales grew by 21.3% to €197.2 million in February. Sales in Finland were up by 19.9%. Abroad, sales increased by 22.3%. In the Baltic countries, sales increased by 21.7% and in Russia by 44.3%. VV-Auto's sales were €68.0 million in February, which was 1.3% more than in the previous year. The sales trend was partly affected by a decrease in the average passenger car price, resulting from the car tax change. In Finland, first registrations of passenger cars increased by 14.2% in February. The market share of passenger cars represented by VV-Auto was 16.3% (13.4%). Anttila's sales growth in February was 17.3%. The sales of Kodin Ykkönen department stores increased by 23.5%, those of Anttila department stores by 13.9%, and the distance sales of NetAnttila by 18.6%. The positive sales trend was affected by cable television households going digital, and by the increased sales of home and speciality goods. Kesko Agro's sales in February were €50.1 million, down 3.3%. Sales in Finland increased by 0.8%. Sales in the Baltic countries dropped by 12.9%, owing to the grain trade. On 28 February 2008, Kesko signed an agreement to sell all Kauko- Telko shares. Kauko-Telko is reported as a discontinued operation and its sales are not included in the figures given above. Starting from July 2007, Rautakesko's sales figures include the sales of OMA, the Belorussian subsidiary of Rautakesko's subsidiary Senukai. Change, % indicates the change over the corresponding period of the previous year. In February 2008, the number of Kesko's wholesale days was 21, which was one more than in February 2007. The total number of selling days was one more than in the previous year. The number of retail days in February was one more than the year before.
