ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT     

Ruukki Group Plc has received an announcement pursuant to Securities Market Act 
chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding:                        

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (register number 13-2624428, New York) announces that the  
ownership of JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited has on 5 November 2009      
fallen below 5% of the share capital and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc as a 
result of the disposal of voting rights.                                        

JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited now holds 12,784,186 Ruukki Group Plc    
shares i.e. 4.90% of the share capital and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc.   

Ruukki Group Plc's registered number of shares is 261,034,022 and share capital 
is EUR 23,642,049.60. The number of treasury shares held by Ruukki Group Plc on 
6 November 2009 is 21,840,000 shares.
