COGHILL CAPITAL UK'S OWNERSHIP OF OKMETIC'S SHARES TO 6.02 PERCENT

Notification of a change in holdings as required by Chapter 2, Section 10 of
the Finnish Securities Markets Act: 

Okmetic Oyj has received notification that on 5 November 2007 the total holding
that Coghill Capital UK Ltd. has in the Company has risen to 1,017,250 shares,
which corresponds to 6.02 percent of Okmetic's share capital and voting rights. 

Okmetic Oyj's share capital as recorded in the Trade Register comprises a total
of 16,887,500 shares. Each share entitles its holder to one vote.
