RUUKKI GROUP PLC'S NEW SHARES REGISTERED

RUUKKI GROUP PLC'S NEW SHARES REGISTERED                                        

The new shares of Ruukki Group Plc have been registered to Trade Register.      

In total 225,000 shares that had been subscribed based on the Option Scheme     
I/2005 A-series stock options have today been registered to Trade Register.     
After registration, the company has in total 248,207,000 shares. The company's  
share capital was not changed due to the subscription. The registered share     
capital is EUR 23,642,049.60.                                                   

The new shares will be subject to public trading together with the old shares in
Nasdaq OMX Helsinki Ltd on 21 July 2010.
