Initial outcome of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue

Initial outcome of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue

Suomen Terveystalo Oyj's rights issue ended yesterday, October 8, 2008.
Terveystalo raised approximately EUR 14.3 million through the share issue.
Initially, a total of 12,964,758 shares have been subscribed. Initially, a
total of 2,136 subscribers took part in the rights issue. 

In the share issue, a maximum of 27,256,665 shares were offered for
subscription based on the shareholders' pre-emptive subscription right, and the
initial outcome indicates that 7,510,922 shares were subscribed based on the
primary subscription right and 198,373 shares were subscribed based on the
secondary subscription right. 

According to the underwriting undertakings they have provided, Ilmarinen Mutual
Pension Insurance Company and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company will
subscribe for shares not subscribed for on the basis of the primary and
secondary subscription right. Initially, Ilmarinen will subscribe for 1,994,608
shares, and Varma for 3,260,855 shares.

this very exceptional market situation, the outcome of the share issue can be
considered as good,” says Martti Kiuru, Managing Director of Suomen Terveystalo
Oyj. 

The interim shares corresponding to the shares subscribed for on the basis of
the primary subscription right have been subject to trading on the official
list of the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange as from today, October 9, 2008.
Subscriptions made on the basis of the secondary subscription right have been
approved in their entirety. 
The new shares subscribed for on the basis of the primary subscription right
will be combined with Terveystalo's existing share class, and the new shares
subscribed for on the basis of the secondary subscription right and the
underwriting undertakings will become subject to trading on the official list
of NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange together with Terveystalo's existing
shares once the capital increase corresponding with the new shares has been
entered in the trade registry, on or about October 16, 2008. 
Terveystalo will publish the final results of the share issue on or about
October 13, 2008, once the Board of Directors has approved the subscriptions.
