Stockmann Group's sales in November 2016


STOCKMANN plc, Company Announcement 13.12.2016 at 12:00 EET

The Stockmann Group's sales in November were down by 7.0 per cent and amounted
to EUR 90.9 million in continuing product areas and businesses.

Stockmann Retail's sales in continuing product areas and businesses were down by
11.5 per cent. Sales were down by 13.1 per cent in Finland and by 1.8 per cent
in the Baltic countries. Sales developed best in the Riga department store and
weakest in the Oulu store.

Lindex's sales were at the previous year’s level at comparable exchange rates.
Sales grew in Sweden and the Baltic countries, but declined particularly in
Finland. Euro-denominated sales were down by 2.7 per cent.

*Continuing product areas and businesses i.e. excluding Russian retail
operations, Seppälä, Hobby Hall, Stockmann Beauty, the airport store and the
product areas the company has withdrawn from in department stores (electronics,
books, sports equipment, toys and pet supplies).

Stockmann’s total sales in November 2016 were EUR 98.7 million, including Hobby
Hall. In November 2015, sales were EUR 118.0 million, including also Russian
retail operations and discontinued product areas in department stores.

Change-%: change compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
The Group's sales figures include merchandise sales exclusive VAT in stores and
department stores. The figures do not include other operating income such as
rental income or service fees.
