Kesko's sales in October 2010


KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 12.11.2010 AT 09.00 1(2)

The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, totalled €750.0 million in October
2010, an increase of 3.4%.

In the food trade, sales in October were €320.1 million, a decrease of 1.1%. The
sales to K-food store chains were up by 0.9%.

In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in October were €137.0 million, a
decrease of 1.6%. The sales of clothing and sports goods increased particularly
in K-citymarkets and Intersport stores.

In the building and home improvement trade, sales in October were €232.7
million, an increase of 15.5%. Sales in Finland were up by 19.1%. Sales abroad
increased by 12.8% in terms of euros and by 8.7% in terms of local currencies.
In the Baltic countries, sales were up by 4.9%. In Russia, sales increased by
29.6% in terms of euros and by 24.6% in terms of the local currency.

In the car and machinery trade, sales in October were €74.4 million, a decrease
of 5.1%. VV-Auto's sales in October were €58.2 million, up 21.0%. In Finland,
new registrations of passenger cars increased by 25.0%. The market share of
passenger cars represented by VV-Auto was 17.1% (18.5%). Konekesko's sales in
October were €16.3 million, down 46.5%. The sales performance was negatively
affected by Konekesko's discontinuation of its agricultural supplies trade in
the Baltic countries.

Change,% indicates the change over the corresponding period of the previous
year.

In October 2010, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
21, which was one less than in October 2009. The total number of wholesale
selling days in January- October was the same as in the previous year. The
number of retail selling days in October was 31, which was five more than in the
previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-October was
25 more than in the previous year.

The sales from operations in Finland presented in this release include the
export sales of the companies in Finland (previously exports were included in
the sales of other countries). The comparative figures have been restated to
reflect the change in presentation.

Kesko publishes advance information about the K-Group's retail sales quarterly,
in connection with the interim reports.
