UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS 9 OF THE FINNISH    
SECURITIES MARKET ACT                                                           

YIT Corporation has on November 7, 2008 gained knowledge of notification under  
the Finnish Securities Market Act stating that following a share transaction on 
November 6, 2008 holding of Fennogens Investments S.A has increased to over 5%  
of YIT Corporation's shares and votes. The company holds total of 7,440,400 YIT 
shares which equals to 5.85 per cent of YIT Corporation's shares.               

On October 3, 2008 YIT Corporation announced that the company had received a    
notification stating that following a share transaction on October 2, 2008 the  
combined holdings of Fennogens Investments S.A and Corbis S.A had increased to  
over 5% of YIT Corporation's shares and votes. Based on notification received by
YIT on November 7, 2008 the combined holdings of Fennogens Investments S.A and 
Corbis S.A amount to 9,19% of YIT Corporation's shares and votes.               

Fennogens Investment S.A and Corbis S.A are owned by same parties.
