Morten Thorsrud to lead If P&C's BA Private

Morten Thorsrud to lead If P&C's BA Private

Morten Thorsrud, 41, has been nominated as the new Head of Business Area Private
of If P&C Insurance Holding Ltd. as of 1 January 2013. He has been Head of
Business Area Industrial in If P&C since 2005. He will continue as a member of
the Group Executive Committee in Sampo Group and no changes will take place in
the composition of the Group Executive Committee.

At the same Niclas Ward has been nominated as the new Head of Business Area
Industrial in If P&C as of 1 January 2013. He is currently working in If P&C's
Business Area Commercial.

If P&C Insurance Holding Ltd., a holding company for If P&C insurance group, is
wholly owned by Sampo plc.
