ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT     

Ruukki Group Plc has received an announcement pursuant to Securities Market Act 
chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding.                        

Atkey Limited (register number 1456426, British Virgin Islands) announces that  
its ownership has exceeded 15% of the number of Ruukki Group Plc shares in the  
Trade Register and voting rights attached to these shares based on share        
transactions carried out on 10 December 2009 and a share purchase agreement     
entered into on 11 December 2009.                                               

Atkey Limited holds on value date 14 December 2009 altogether 50,281,401 Ruukki 
Group Plc shares i.e. 19.26% of the share capital and voting rights of Ruukki   
Group Plc.                                                                      

In addition, Atkey Limited and Aida Djakov announce that their combined         
ownership has exceeded 25% of the number of Ruukki Group Plc shares in the Trade
Register and voting rights attached to these shares based on share transactions 
carried out on 10 December 2009 and a share purchase agreement entered into on  
11 December 2009.
