Elcoteq Convenes a Meeting of its Debenture Holders

Elcoteq SE is inviting the holders of book-entry securities related
to subordinated notes I/2004, I/2005, II/2005 and I/2006 to a meeting
to decide on an amendment of the debentures' terms and conditions.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2 pm at
the Scandic Continental hotel, meeting room 'Ballroom' at
Mannerheimintie 46, Helsinki.

Elcoteq announced in its Stock Exchange Release on July 22, 2009,
that as a part of its project to strengthen the company's equity, the
current debt will be restructured, with a possibility of
debt-to-equity swap. In order to be able to carry out such
restructuring, the existing debentures' terms must be amended. The
meeting invitation is attached to this release. It has also been
published in Helsingin Sanomat of August 24 and on the company's
website and will be notified to the account operators through the
book-entry securities system.
