P/F Føroya Banki defers the publication of the Annual Report 2009 and the date of the AGM

According to the Bank's financial calendar the publication of the Annual Report
2009 were set to be on 18 February 2010 and the date of the annual general
meeting to be held on 26 March 2010. 

Føroya Banki hereby announces, that The Board of Directors has decided to defer
the publication of the Annual Report 2009 to 25 February 2010 and the date of
the annual general meeting to 29 March 2010. 

The possibility for an acquisition of 9 branches in Denmark and 3 branches in
Greenland from Sparbank has resulted in a change of the priorities of the banks
resources, which implies that the bank has decided to defer the publication of
the Annual Report 2009 by one week. 

The bank confirms its Outlook for pre-tax profit before value adjustments and
before expenses due to the Danish state-funded guarantee scheme for the year
2009 to be within the range of DKK 150-160 millions, as stated in announcement
3/2010 on 27 January 2010.
