Aktia Bank plc: Aktia's shareholding as planned to Fastighetskapitalfonden Forum Fastighets Kb

Aktia Bank plc Stock Exchange Release 1.10.2008 at 12 Noon

In May 2008, Aktia entered a fund agreement whereby the bank's
shareholding in the real estate companies Mannerheimvägen 14,
Silvertärnan and Mercator is transferred in accordance with the today
signed share transfer agreement to Fastighetskapitalfonden Forum
Fastighets Kb. Also, the other owners of the so-called Forum block
transfer their real estate holdings to this fund. To Aktia this means
that a capital gain amounting to more than EUR 6 million will be
realised during the last quarter. The transaction is a step in the
bank's efforts to improve the efficiency of real estate management
and increase the liquidity of its holdings.
