AB ,,Utenos trikotažas” activity results for the twelve months of 2010

AB „Utenos trikotažas" sales for the IV quarter of 2010 reached LTL 15 million
(EUR 4.3 million), 13.2 % more than during the same period in 2009. The company
sales of 2010 reached LTL 60.4 million (EUR 17.5 million), 0.6 % more than
during the same period in 2009. 

Consolidated Group sales for the IV quarter of 2010 reached LTL 17.9 million
(EUR 5.2 million), 13.3 % more than during the same period in 2009.
Consolidated group sales of 2010 reached LTL 70.7 million (EUR 20.5 million),
0.5% more than during the same period in 2009. 

“Company has posted annual sales growth, although minor, but for the first time
since 2004. The company focuses on its clients demanding higher value added
products such as ecological high quality products, excellent service and fast
delivery. In addition, we intensify efforts marketing our branded Rokas, Gunda
or Eko product lines. As a result sales of these products are up in Lithuania
despite negative consumption trends. 

The main challenge for the company in 2010 had been very sharply
increasingcotton and it's yarn prices, extremely in the second half of the
year, when it had doubled hitting all-time highs. Despite our efforts, it was
not possible to immediately transfer all the effect of such cost increase to
our clients. Accordingly, we expect that operating results in the last quarter
of 2010 would be somewhatbelow our expectations even though improving sales
trend.” - says the General Manager of the company Utenos trikotažas Nerijus
