RUUKKI GROUP PLC´S NOMINATION COMMITTEE PROPOSES NEW CEO AS A MEMBER OF THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS 

The Nomination Committee of Ruukki Group Plc (“Ruukki” or the “Company”) (LSE:
RKKI, OMX: RUG1V) has decided to propose to the Annual General Meeting that
Thomas Hoyer, who has been appointed as the new CEO of Ruukki, be elected as
new member of the Board of Directors. 

As announced on 15 April 2011 in the Annual General Meeting invitation, the
Nomination Committee proposes the re-election of seven (7) board members:
Philip Baum, Paul Everard, Markku Kankaala, Danco Koncar, Jelena Manojlovic,
Chris Pointon and Barry Rourke. 

The Nomination Committee proposes now that there will be eight (8) members on
the Board of Directors for the period that begins following the Annual General
Meeting on May 2011 and ends in the end of the Annual General Meeting in 2012. 

The Annual General Meeting will be held on 11 May 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in
Helsinki at: Hotel Haven, Unioninkatu 17, Helsinki, Finland.
