APPOINTMENT IN FINNAIR MANAGEMENT

FINNAIR PLC         STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE         JULY 8, 2010 AT 3.40 p.m.

Manne Tiensuu (MA, Psychology) has been appointed Senior Vice President, Human
Resources. Tiensuu has also been appointed member of the Finnair Executive
Board. Tiensuu will begin work at Finnair in October. Before Finnair, Tiensuu
has worked for Glaston as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and member of
Executive Management Group. 

Tiensuu has previously worked within international HR in Japan, China and South
Korea. 

Anssi Komulainen, the previous Senior Vice President, Human Resources, has
become the company's Senior Vice President, Customer Service.
