Correction: Acquisition of Amagerbanken approved by Danish FSA

Condition for take-over of healthy parts of Amagerbanken now met


Correction to company announcement published 28.06.2011. Text added to previous

On 18 May 2011 BankNordik concluded an agreement with the Financial Stability
Company on the takeover of all retail and most commercial customers from
Amagerbanken. The agreement was contingent upon approval from the Danish
Financial Supervisory Authority ("FSA"). 



The acquisition was approved by the Danish FSA today.



Signing of the final acquisition contract between BankNordik and the Financial
Stability Company is expected to take place within a few days, after which the
acquisition can be executed.

BankNordik was founded over 100 years ago in the Faroe Islands. The Group has
banking activities in Denmark and Greenland and the Faroe Islands and insurance
activities on the Faroe Islands and Iceland. After the acquisition of
Amagerbanken the bank will have assets of approximately DKK 20 billion and more
than 600 employees. The Bank is subject to the Danish Financial Services
