PROPOSALS OF THE SHAREHOLDERS' NOMINATION COMMITTEE ON THE COMPOSITION AND REMUNERATION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF FINNAIR PLC

The Shareholders' Nomination Committee has decided to propose to the 2009
Annual General Meeting of Finnair Plc that the number of members of the Board
of Directors be confirmed eight, and that Christoffer Taxell, Sigurður
Helgason, Satu Huber, Kari Jordan, Ursula Ranin, Veli Sundbäck and Pekka
Timonen of the current members be re-elected and that Elina Björklund be
elected as a new member. The Committee further proposes that Christoffer Taxell
be elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. 
The Committee also proposes to the 2009 Annual General Meeting that the
remunerations of the members of the Board of Directors remained unchanged. The
current remunerations are: 

- the Chairman 61,200 Euros per year
- the Vice Chairman 32,400 Euros per year
- the other members 30,000 Euros per year
- to a member residing in Finland 600 Euros and to a member residing abroad
1,200 Euros per meeting of the Board or its Committee. 
The above proposals will be included in the notice to convene the Annual
General Meeting that will be published later.

Elina Björklund 

Born 1970

M.Sc. (Econ.), Group Director Iittala Brand and Direct Consumer Sales, since
2008 

Employed by Iittala Group since 2004.

A member of the Board of Directors in Art and Design City Helsinki Ltd.
2006-2008. Between 2001 and 2004 Elina Björklund worked as entrepreneur in
financial 
consulting and training. Between 1995 and 1999 she was an Executive Vice
President and Chief Equity analyst at Merita Securities Ltd.
