DIGIA'S COOPERATION NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETED

DIGIA'S COOPERATION NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETED 

Digia Plc has completed the cooperation negotiations started on 6 November
2009, and decided to close down the sites in Kuopio, Turku, Lahti and Vaasa,
and reduce labour in Pori. 

The cooperation negotiations concerned a total of 110 employees. In the course
of the negotiations Digia has been able to offer new jobs in another location
to most of the employees affected by the shutdowns. The company estimates that
the redundancies will, including Pori, finally amount to a total of 40-60
persons, depending on the number of employees willing to accept a new job in
another location. In Pori a termination notice will be served to a total of 8
persons. 

Personnel reductions will be effected during a period of 1.1.2010-30.6.2010.
The company will support the employees who are willing to move to another
location on permanent basis. In addition, the company will pay agreed support
packages to employees whose employment will be terminated. The company
estimates that the support packages and personnel reductions will carry one-off
expenses in the total amount of some 900.000 euros, which will affect the
company's result for the last quarter of 2009. Despite such expenses, the
profitability of the company's operative business will remain on a good level
also during the last quarter. 

The company believes that through the efficiency measures so effected the
company will create a site network that better meets the market demand and the
customers' needs and further strengthen the company's competitiveness and
profitability.
