YIT'S CAPITAL MARKETS DAY IN FRANKFURT, SEPTEMBER 10, 2008                      

On Wednesday, September 10, 2008, YIT will hold a Capital Markets Day for       
investors and analysts in Frankfurt. At the event, YIT management will present  
YIT's key strategic focus areas and targets with special emphasis on the        
international businesses within Building Systems and International Construction 
Services in the Nordic countries, Russia, Baltic countries and Central Europe,  
and on YIT's energy efficiency solutions.                                       

Webcast and conference call                                                     

President and CEO Hannu Leinonen's presentation can be viewed as a real-time    
webcast at http://www.yitgroup.com/webcast. The presentation will start at 8:30 
(CEST).                                                                         

Investors and analysts can participate in the event through a conference call.
