TECHNOPOLIS PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR ENFO DATA CENTER IN KUOPIO 

Technopolis Plc continues to grow in Kuopio. The expansion construction of the
Technopolis Microkatu facilities is being initiated. Technopolis and Enfo Plc
have signed a long term lease agreement for the entire space. The construction
work will start in the beginning of June and the facilities for the data center
will be completed by the end of 2009. 

According to CEO Arto Herranen at Enfo Plc the company will secure its business
growth in accordance with the strategy through the data center investment: the
new highly efficient facilities allow the IT outsourcing service business to
expand strongly. 

- Because of the new data center facilities we can respond to the growth in
demand for IT outsourcing and offer our customers energy efficient server space
of high standards with the latest IT technology, Herranen says. 

- We already have office, production and laboratory facilities for over 120
client companies at Microkatu. The facility we now are constructing perfectly
supports the Technopolis concept and compliments the cluster of operating
environments in the Technopolis Kuopio Science Park. Enfo Plc is, as the strong
IT service company they are, a very important and pleasant customer and partner
for us, says the Director of Kuopio operations Hannu Eronen. 

Technopolis has 134 client companies in Kuopio. With this expansion the gross
space of Technopolis in Kuopio will increase to 51 500 square meters. The cost
estimate for the construction work is approximately MEUR 2.0. Enfo is investing
a total of over MEUR 3.6 in the project.
