Sven Heistermann Appointed to Sanoma's Executive Management Group

Chief Strategy Officer Sven Heistermann has been appointed member of
the Sanoma Group's Executive Management Group as of 1 October 2009.
Heistermann started at Sanoma in August 2008. Before that,
Heistermann worked at management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton
since 1998 leading projects related to strategy development for
clients in communications, multimedia, internet and high-tech
industries.

As of 1 October 2009, the Executive Management Group comprises
Sanoma's President and CEO Hannu Syrjänen (Chairman), Division
Presidents Eija Ailasmaa (Sanoma Magazines), Mikael Pentikäinen
(Sanoma News), Anu Nissinen (Sanoma Entertainment), Jacques Eijkens
(Sanoma Learning & Literature) and Timo Mänty (Sanoma Trade) as well
as CSO Sven Heistermann (Sanoma) and CFO Kim Ignatius (Sanoma).
Members of the Executive Management Group report to Hannu Syrjänen.

At the same time, Sanoma simplifies the structure of its Corporate
Centre. As of 1 October 2009, CFO Ignatius is responsible for legal
affairs, treasury and temporarily HR, in addition to finance,
administration, ICT and communications.
