CLOSURE OF STATUTORY NEGOTIATIONS AT SCANFIL PLC'S SUBSIDIARY SCANFIL EMS OY Scanfil plc's subsidiary Scanfil EMS Oy's statutory negotiations concerning Sievi electronics and mechanics plant and various personnel groups from Group administration due to production and financial reasons and business restructuring ended today, on 21 April 2009. As a result of the negotiations the organisations of mechanics and electronics plants operating in Sievi will be merged and part of electronics production will be transferred to Pärnu plant, Estonia. As a result of measures to be concluded 6 salaried employees and 25 workers will be made redundant. Personnel reductions will be executed by the end of March 2010. The aim of the planned measures is to lift the efficiency of operations, improve cost-efficiency and maintain the company's competitiveness in the long term.
