CHANGE IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS' AUDIT COMMITTEE

CHANGE IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS' AUDIT COMMITTEE                               

Ruukki Group Plc's Board of Directors has decided that starting from 6 October  
2009 the Audit Committee consists of two members, Jelena Manojlovic (committee  
chairman) and Markku Kankaala, since Thomas Hoyer has started as the Managing   
Director of the Group's Wood Processing business. It is intended that the audit 
committee will be strengthened later in conjunction with any future general     
meetings of shareholders electing Board members.
