Oriola-KD has acquired the minority holding of Merck Sharp & Dohme (Sverige) AB in Kronans Droghandel AB

Oriola-KD Corporation has increased its holding in Kronans Droghandel
AB (KD) in Sweden from 85.62 per cent to 98.13 per cent after
acquiring the minority holding of Merck Sharp & Dohme (Sverige) AB in
KD. Merck Sharp & Dohme (Sverige) AB's holding in KD was 12.51 per
cent.

The share purchase is paid in cash. The parties have agreed not to
publish the purchase price. The acquisition in question cannot be
deemed significant in accordance with the rules of the OMX Nordic
Exchange Helsinki.

The representatives of Merck Sharp & Dohme (Sverige) AB in the Board
of Directors of KD, Karin Bernadotte af Wisborg (member) and Ulf
Janzon (deputy member) will resign from the Board of Directors of KD
today.

After the transaction, Organon AB holds a minority of 1.87 per cent
of the shares in KD.
