M-real to close Tako s board machine line No. 2

M-real Corporation Stock Exchange Bulletin 12.4.2007

As part of M-real's re-engineering programme relating to its
operations in Finland, the company has decided to close its
Tampere-based Tako board mill's board machine line No. 2. The line
produces folding boxboard and its annual capacity is 70,000 tonnes.

The closed line's production will mostly be transferred to M-real
Consumer Packaging business area's other machines located in Finland.
The No. 2 board line is planned to be closed by 31 July 2007. The
impacts on personnel will be assessed locally as part of Pirkanmaa
statutory workplace consultations as part of M-real's re-engineering
programme for operations in Finland.
