SOCIETE GENERALE TO PUBLISH A NEW WARRANT BASE PROSPECTUS AND ISSUE SEVENTEEN
NEW TURBOS. THE ISSUE INCLUDES TURBOS ON THE DAX INDEX, THE DOW JONES IA INDEX,
THE NASDAQ 100 INDEX, THE NESTE OIL PLC SHARE AND THE NOKIA PLC SHARE. 

Societe Generale, one of the leading issuers of covered warrants worldwide,
publishes a new warrant Base Prospectus dated 22 July 2008 and issues a total
of seventeen new European Turbo warrants on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (HEX).
The Turbos will be subject to public trading on the HEX Exchange List as of 23
July 2008. 

The underlying assets of the Turbos will be the DAX Index, Dow Jones IA index,
Nasdaq 100 Index, the Neste Oil Plc share and the Nokia Plc share. The issue
includes twelve Long Turbos and five Short Turbos. The new DAX Turbos will have
a difference of 50 index points between strike and Knock-out levels, revised
from 25 index points previously. 

The Turbos will be issued under the Societe Generale warrant program. The
Listing Particulars of the warrant program approved by the Finnish Financial
Supervision Authority on 22 July 2008 and consisting of the Base Prospectus and
the Final Terms relating to the Turbos to be issued are available as of 22 July
2008 at the Societe Generale website at www.sglistedproducts.fi, at the office
of the HEX at Fabianinkatu 14, Helsinki and at the office of the Paying agent
at Nordea Bank Finland Plc at Aleksis Kiven katu 3-5, Helsinki.
