Ruukki Group Plc has today received an announcement pursuant to Securities      
Market Act chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding.             

Atkey Limited (register number 1456426, British Virgin Islands) and Aida Djakov 
announce that their combined ownership has exceeded 20% of the share capital and
voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc based on share transactions carried out on 28 
May 2009.                                                                       

Atkey Limited and Aida Djakov own Ruukki Group Plc shares as follows:
