TietoEnator signs major telecom agreement with Siemens IT Solutions and Services in Italy

TietoEnator has signed a major agreement with Siemens IT Solutions
and Services regarding the streamlining of business critical and
customer-related processes and services for mobile telephony (Mobile
Business Support Systems Application Operation services). This is the
extension of an agreement TietoEnator signed with Siemens in July
2006. The value of the contract is estimated to MEUR 40 and the
contract period of the new agreement is three years. The agreement
strengthens TietoEnator's presence in Italy and its position as a
leading supplier of services to the telecom industry.

Ari Vanhanen, Head of TietoEnator Telecom & Media, said: "This is a
strategic breakthrough for us on a relatively new market. An
agreement of this magnitude strengthens our European presence and
gives us a stronghold in Italy. Our cooperation with Siemens is very
important to us and together we will be able to add significant value
in the customer's business critical processes".

TietoEnator will be responsible for maintenance of core processes for
mobile telephony. The common goal is to reduce the cost of operation
and support, and at the same time fulfil customer demands for
qualified services. Cost-reduction is achieved partly by streamlining
the core processes, and partly by coordinating a large number of
sub-suppliers on Siemens behalf.
