Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oyj: Change in the holding of AC Invest Five BV

AHLSTROM-MUNKSJÖ OYJ, STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE July 27, 2017 at 10:30 CEST

Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oyj has today received a notification in accordance with
Chapter 9, Section 5 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act from Ahlström Capital
Oy on behalf of AC Invest Five BV.

According to the notification, the shareholding of AC Invest Five BV, a fully
owned indirect subsidiary of Ahlström Capital Oy, in Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oyj has
exceeded the threshold of 10% on July 26, 2017 (from 9.70% to 11.45%). No
notification threshold has been crossed on the group level. Ahlström Capital’s
total shareholding has increased from 15.39% to 17.14% (through AC Invest Five
BV and AC Invest Six BV).

Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s registered total number of shares and voting rights of
96,438,573 shares and voting rights has been used as the basis of calculation of
percentages for the notification.

AC Invest Five BV is a 100% owned subsidiary of Ahlstrom Capital BV and Ahlstrom
Capital BV is a 100% owned subsidiary of Ahlström Capital Oy. AC Invest Six BV
is a 100% owned subsidiary of Ahlstrom Capital BV and Ahlstrom Capital BV is a
100% owned subsidiary of Ahlström Capital Oy.
