Elcoteq to Start Personnel Negotiations in Finland

Elcoteq SE has today convened a meeting of the employee representatives of
Elcoteq SE Finnish Branch, Elcoteq Finland Oy and Elcoteq Design Center Oy for
statutory personnel negotiations. The negotiations will address the possible
restructuring of the company's activities in Finland and the possibility of
temporary lay-offs, semi-retirement or the termination of employee contracts on
production or financial grounds.

The company estimates that the number of affected employment relationships will
at most be approximately 20 people in all employee categories.

Elcoteq has currently approximately 150 employees in Finland. The number of
personnel worldwide is roughly 11,000.
