CHRISTEL BERGHÄLL APPOINTED AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES OF YIT    
CORPORATION                                                                     

Christel Berghäll (38), M.Sc. (Econ.) has been appointed as Senior Vice         
President, Human Resource of YIT Group. Christel Berghäll will report to YIT    
Corporation's CEO Hannu Leinonen and she will be a member of YIT Group's        
Management Board.                                                               

Christel Berghäll has previously held the position of Vice President, Human     
Resources of Amer Sports Corporation. Prior to that she has worked in several   
international Human Resources development and management positions at Nokia     
Corporation.                                                                    

Christel Berghäll will assume responsibility of the new position during the last
quarter of 2008.
