FINNISH AVIATION UNION TO BEGIN STRIKE TOMORROW

Both parties of the negotiations have rejected a conciliation proposal made on
Sunday by the National Conciliator Esa Lonka with respect to a new collective
agreement on air transport services. 

On Monday morning, 25 October at 5 a.m. the IAU will begin a strike in
companies providing aviation technical services.The strike will disrupt Finnish
flight traffic. The strike will also affect Finnair flights. 

Finnair will make every effort to operate normally, but delays and cancellations
are possible. "It is difficult to assess the impact of the strike, because the situation of
flights can change at short notice. We sincerely apologise for any
inconvenience our customers may experience," says SVP Customer Service Anssi
Komulainen.
