With reference to the exercise of Glitnir banki hf. employees of stock options
in the bank, Glitnir bank hf. has purchased 19 million shares in Glitnir banki
hf. on the rate 24.15 which was the rate which Glitnir bank hf. closed on the
market yesterday.  These own account dealings are in relation with stock option
agreements made with employees 2005.   These own account dealings will not
effect the issuer´s holding after the transaction.
