Arbitrators' decision enables OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative to redeem
Pohjola shares

Pohjola Bank plc ("Pohjola") today received the following information from OP-
Pohjola Group Central Cooperative.

On 29 September 2014, the arbitral tribunal appointed by the Redemption
Committee of the Central Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that OP-Pohjola Group
Central Cooperative has the right to redeem the minority shares in Pohjola Bank
Plc and that OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative has the right to obtain
ownership of the minority shares by providing a collateral approved by the
arbitral tribunal for the payment of the redemption price and interest accrued.
