ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT     

Ruukki Group Plc has received an announcement pursuant to Securities Market Act 
chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding:                        

Kermas Ltd (registration number 504889, Tortola, British Virgin Islands)        
announces that its current ownership has exceeded 25% of the share capital and  
voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc based on share transactions carried out on 22 
October 2009.                                                                   

Kermas Limited now owns Ruukki Group Plc shares and forward contracts as        
follows:
