Appointments in Vaisala's Management

Vesa Pylvänäinen, M.Sc. (Econ), has been appointed Executive Vice President,
Vaisala Operations and a member of Vaisala's Business and Strategic Management
Groups. He starts in the new position latest in June 2011.

Vesa Pylvänäinen joins Vaisala from Elcoteq, where he has worked for ten years
in various leadership positions, currently as Vice President, Business
Development and Account Management for the company's Electronics Manufacturing
Services (EMS) division. He has extensive experience in Elcoteq ranging from
business control and global operations management to operational excellence and
business management. He has also strong international background; having been
heading operations in the US, Hungary and Romania.

Hannu Katajamäki, (M.Sc. Eng, MBA), has been appointed Executive Vice President,
Vaisala Services and a member of Vaisala's Business and Strategic Management
Groups starting April 1, 2011. Hannu Katajamäki has been employed by Vaisala for
15 years in various managerial positions. Currently he is heading the Airports
market segment.

Increasing the services share of Vaisala's revenue and introducing new service
concepts is a key objective in the company strategy. The Services business
continues to be reported by the business areas.

Scott Sternberg (M.Sc. Physics), the current head of Vaisala Services will
concentrate on his role of President, Vaisala Inc, responsible for driving
Vaisala's business and position in the North American markets, which mark over
one third of the company's overall revenue. Scott Sternberg will remain a member
of Vaisala's Strategic Management Group. He has worked for Vaisala since 2004.
