THE JUDGMENT OF THE HELSINKI COURT OF APPEAL CONCERNING SCANFIL PLC'S DELAYED PROFIT WARNING IN TURN OF YEAR 2005 -2006

THE JUDGMENT OF THE HELSINKI COURT OF APPEAL CONCERNING SCANFIL PLC'S DELAYED   
PROFIT WARNING IN TURN OF YEAR 2005 -2006                                       

The Helsinki Court of Appeal has today passed a judgment concerning securities  
market information offence regarding the delay of Scanfil plc's profit warning  
given at 17 January 2006 wherein it has sentenced the Chairman of the Board and 
former President to 40 daily-fine.                                              

The company has been imposed a corporate fine of EUR 25,000.                    

According to the view of Scanfil plc the judgment is unfounded. The company     
shall for its part consider applying for leave to appeal for the Supreme Court.
