Commercial Court of Belgrade (Serbia) has set aside the Partial award by the Serbian arbitration court

Alytus, Lithuania, 2012-11-06 07:55 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 2 November 2012
Company group ALITA AB (the Company) received the judgment by the Commercial
Court of Belgrade (Serbia) in Serbian. From the translated resolution part of
the judgment it is clear that the Company's request was satisfied and the
Partial award including the Company as respondent in an arbitration case,
adopted by the Foreign Trade Court of Arbitration at the Serbian Chamber of
Commerce on 15 November 2011, was set-aside. This court judgment may be
appealed against within 8 days from the receipt to the High Commercial Court
(Serbia).

The Company previously has already informed that on 15 November 2011 the
Serbian arbitration court adopted the Partial award on 15 November 2011 whereby
it included the Company as a third respondent in a case, initiated by the
Serbian Privatisation Agency against AB “ALT Investicijos” and United Nordic
Beverages AB with a claim of EUR 68,347,168. The Company did not agree with the
Partial award and held that the Serbian arbitration court does not have the
jurisdiction to deal with the disputes against the Company and had for this
reason brought a request to the Commercial Court of Belgrade (Serbia) to
set-aside the Partial award.
