NEOMARKKA´S SUBSIDIARY REKA CABLES LTD TO START CO-OPERATION NEGOTIATIONS 

Neomarkka Plc´s subsidiary Reka Cables Ltd will start the co-operation
negotiations concerning factories in Hyvinkää and in Riihimäki on February 2nd,
2009. The officials and the factory in Keuruu are not part of the negotiations. 

The financial situation has diminished the visibility of the market situation
development. Reka Cables Ltd is taking precautions to adjust its activities
according to the changes in the market situation. 

The negotiations will concern around 130 employees. More detailed need for
lay-offs, length of lay-offs and possible dismissals will be specified during
the negotiations when also more information about the market situation
development can be achieved. 

The co-operation negotiations will start on February 2nd, 2009 on week 6/2009
and are estimated to end during week 12/2009.
