PÖYRY AWARDED EUR 11 MILLION COAL-FIRED POWER PLANT ENGINEERING ASSIGNMENT IN VIETNAM

Pöyry has been awarded an owner's engineering contract for the Vung
Ang power plant project in Vietnam by Vietnam Machinery Erection
Corporation (LILAMA). The contract value amounts to about EUR 11
million and it will be included in the order stock for the second
quarter.

The project will be a 2 x 600 MW coal-fired power plant, located some
420 km south of Hanoi. Due to its size, location and technical
sophistication, the Vung Ang project has been identified as a
keystone in LILAMA's strategy as well as an important part in
Vietnam's future energy generation capacity.

The Vung Ang power plant project is a key strategic milestone in
Pöyry's activities in Southeast Asia. The assignment further
consolidates Pöyry's position in the area and especially in the
rapidly growing Vietnamese energy markets.

LILAMA is the leading plant erector in Vietnam with own manufacturing
plants and some 20 000 employees. It is involved in Vietnam's major
construction projects, comprising thermal and hydropower as well as
oil and gas projects.

Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the
energy, forest industry and infrastructure and environment sectors.
Pöyry's net sales in 2006 amounted to about EUR 620 million and it
employs 6400 experts.
