Aspo - Company Announcement

ASPO TO SELL AUTOTANK GROUP TO GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOT

ASPO Plc STOCK EXCHANGE BULLETIN June 26, 2008 at 4.30 p.m.

ASPO TO SELL AUTOTANK GROUP TO GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOT

Aspo Plc will sell the Autotank Group, a part of Aspo Ventures Unit,
to the US based Gilbarco Veeder-Root. Gilbarco Veeder-Root will
acquire the shares of Autotank at an enterprise value (cash and
debt-free) of EUR 28 million. Aspo will recognize a non-recurring
gain on the sale to be specified upon the completion of the
transaction.

In 2007, Autotank Group's net sales were EUR 57.7 million and the
operational result was EUR 0.3 million in the black. Non-recurring
costs of EUR 1.8 million were recognized in the financial statements.
Autotank has subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia,
Lithuania, Poland and Russia. The Group employs 320 people. For the
second quarter of 2008 the Autotank Group will be presented as a
discontinuing operation in compliance with IFRS 5.

Gustav Nyberg, CEO of Aspo: "The disposal of Autotank is a part of
the structural reorganization of Aspo which was initiated after the
acquisition of Kauko-Telko. Aspo owns three businesses which are
leading brands in their own sectors: ESL Shipping, Leipurin and
Telko. These businesses as well as Kaukomarkkinat, which is a part of
Aspo Ventures Unit, are larger in size and they are more clearly
focused on the growing Eastern markets. The disposal of Autotank will
also strengthen Aspo's capital structure.""In recent years, the continuous development of the Autotank Group
has made the company a clear market leader in its field in the Baltic
region. The operations have been rationalized and the earnings for
2008 are expected to be profitable. The time was favorable for the
disposal; the determined approach, the market knowledge and a
long-term commitment to developing the business as shown by Gilbarco
Veeder-Root convinced the management of Aspo."

Peter Dilnot, Managing Director, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, EMEA: "The
acquisition of Autotank provides an excellent addition to Gilbarco's
portfolio, enabling Gilbarco Veeder-Root to provide an even broader
range of products and services in the region. The combination of
Autotank's pioneering retail automation systems and comprehensive
regional service network, coupled with Gilbarco Veeder-Root's global
technology leadership and development strength, will deliver
outstanding value to fuel retailers."

The completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions
including the anti-trust approvals. The transaction is expected to be
completed during the third quarter of this year.
