Leena Mörttinen to join Metsäliitto Cooperative’s Board of Directors

At a meeting held on 5 November 2015, the Supervisory Board of Metsä Group's
parent company, Metsäliitto Cooperative, elected Leena Mörttinen, Doctor of
Social Sciences (Econ.) to be a new member of Metsäliitto Cooperative's Board
of Directors as of 1 January 2016. Mörttinen is the Executive Director of
Family Business Network Finland. She has previously worked as the Director of
the Competitiveness and Growth division of the Confederation of Finnish
Industries (EK) and has held several managerial positions at Nordea Bank. 

Saini Jääskeläinen, an entrepreneur in farming and forestry, has announced that
she will be leaving the Board of Directors. Jääskeläinen has been a member of
the Board since 2005. 

The meeting also decided to pay the following fees to the Chairman and members
of the Board of Directors in 2016: the fee paid to the Chairman of Metsäliitto
Cooperative's Board will be EUR 6,700 per month, and the monthly fee for Board
members will be EUR 3,700. The monthly fee paid to the chair of the Audit
Committee will be EUR 1,200. The fees remain unchanged compared to 2015.
