Kristín Guðmundsdóttir resigns as CEO of Skipti

Kristín Guðmundsdóttir today notified the board of directors of Skipti , that
she would resign from her post with effect from today. At the request of the
board she will manage the company until a decision has been made on the way
forward. Mrs. Guðmundsdóttir took over as CEO of Skipti in January 2011 but
before that she worked as the company's CFO over the last eight years, during
which time she has also served as deputy CEO. 

Kristín Guðmundsdóttir: “I have now been working for Síminn and Skipti for
eight years. In the course of that eventful time the Company has undergone
profound changes. I have now decided to take on new challenges. I would like to
thank all my colleagues for their excellent co-operation and I wish the Company
all the best.” 

Skúli Valberg Ólafsson, Chairman of the board of directors: “On behalf of the
board of directors, I would like to express our great appreciation for
Kristín´s outstanding work for Skipti in recent years. She has played a vital
role in steering the Company through turbulent times in Iceland in recent
years. I would like to wish her well in her future endeavors.“
