KONE Oyj : KONE appoints Larry G. Wash as Executive Vice President for the Americas

Larry G. Wash (50) has been appointed Executive Vice President responsible for
the Americas as of July 23, 2012. Larry Wash will be a Member of the Executive
Board and report to Matti Alahuhta, President and CEO, KONE Corporation.

Larry Wash will succeed Vance Tang, who has decided to leave KONE to pursue
other interests outside the company. Vance Tang has been leading the area since
early 2007.

Larry Wash has a proven track record in growing profitable businesses. In his
latest role as the President of Global Services for the Climate Solutions sector
of Ingersoll Rand he has led a USD 3 billion business in 60 countries.
Previously he served as Vice President of service and contracting business for
Trane within North and Latin America, and in various leadership roles with Xerox
and Eastman Kodak. Larry Wash has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
electrical engineering from Wayne State University in Michigan; a Master's
degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology
(NY); and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University."Larry has been very successful in developing and leading demanding businesses
in various geographies and different market conditions. He brings a wealth of
valuable experience to KONE," says Matti Alahuhta.
