Quorum Requirement Will Not Be Met in Elcoteq´s Extraordinary General Meeting on October 12, 2010

On September 7, 2010, Elcoteq SE published an invitation to the Extraordinary
General Meeting of shareholders to be held in Luxemburg on October 12, 2010, to
decide on actions enabling the advancement with the equity raising project.

The notification period for the meeting expired on October 7, 2010, at 4.00 pm
CET. By that date, about 45.9% of the shares had enrolled to the meeting. Hence,
the quorum requirement will not be met in the Extraordinary General Meeting on
October 12, 2010.

Therefore, as announced earlier, the company will convene a second Extraordinary
General Meeting and the invitation to this second meeting will be published
later on.
