ALMA MEDIA: ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO THE SECURITIES ACT, CHAPTER 2,
SECTION 10

Alma Media Corporation has received flagging notices submitted by
Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ.) Helsinki Branch,
Ilkka-Yhtymä Oyj and Kaleva Kustannus Oy.

According to its notice, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ)
Helsinki Branch has on 10 August 2009 divested in total 11,958,000
Alma Media shares to Ilkka-Yhtymä Oyj and Kaleva Kustannus Oy, as the
conditions of the agreement made by the companies on 1 July 2009
fulfilled. The conditions of the agreement have been described in the
Stock Exchange Release issued by Alma Media on 2 July 2009. Due to
the transaction, the shareholding of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB
(publ) Helsinki Branch in all shares and votes in Alma Media has
fallen below the flagging limit of 1/20 to zero.

Ilkka-Yhtymä Oyj (business ID 0182140-9) has, according to its
notice, on 10 August 2009 acquired 7,500,000 Alma Media shares. As a
consequence of the transaction, the shareholding of Ilkka-Yhtymä Oyj
in all shares and votes in Alma Media exceeds the flagging limit of
1/5 as is currently 20.40% (in total 15,218,991 shares and votes).

Kaleva Kustannus Oy (business ID 0187274-0) has, according to its
notice, on 10 August 2009 acquired 4,458,000 Alma Media shares. As a
consequence of the transaction, the shareholding of Kaleva Kustannus
Oy in Alma Media exceeds the flagging limit of 1/20 and is currently
5.97% (4,458,000 shares and votes).

The share capital of Alma Media Corporation (business ID 1944757-4)
is EUR 44,767,513.80 and it is divided into 74,612,523 shares. The
company has one series of shares. Each share entitles to one voting
right. The total number of voting rights is 74,612,523.
